UCSB Graduate School Application

Step 1. Review the Graduate Division's Online Application Preparation Guide (pdf), complete the
  Graduate Division's Online Application, and pay the application fee.
  NOTE: The Pre-application is not required by the ECE graduate program
Step 2. Submit the following materials to ECE department:
  a. Statement of Purpose (SoP): submit pdfs at the ECE SoP Document Upload site
  b. Transcripts: Mail two official copies of all post-secondary education transcripts from anywhere the applicant has taken 12 units or more courses to:

Application Status

The Graduate Division's application status page gives a view of the application's progress including the receipt of the application fee and all supplemental documents.

The Graduate Division processes payment, recommendation letters, and test scores
The ECE department processes only the transcripts and the Statement of Purpose (SoP)
  - Transcripts and the SoP are reflected on the application status page within one week of receipt. Application fees must be paid for the the transcripts and SoP to be reflected on the status page.
  - Contact the ECE Graduate Admission Webmaster for questions related only to the ECE SoP Document Upload process.
